Frequently asked questions...
What is the best way to reach Mrs. Wilson?
The best way to reach me is by email at [email protected]. You may also call 978-352-5785 ext. 224 and leave a message. I will try to respond to your email or return your call after students have gone home for the day.
What do I do if my student has a change of dismissal routine during the school day?
Please communicate any change of dismissal routine to the front office, and not to me. Although I try to check email during the course of the day, it is not always possible. The only way to ensure that the change of dismissal is communicated to your student is through the front office.
What should I do if my student is unable to complete a particular homework page?
Although homework assignments are meant to reinforce classwork that students have already been introduced to and have practiced in class, there will be times when a student is unsure how to complete a particular homework page, or after struggling to complete a page, is unable to do so within the 20 minutes of allotted time. If this occurs, please note on the page what your student did not understand, and I will review the concept with your child during class time.
May I volunteer to help in the classroom?
There are many opportunities to volunteer in our classroom. Parents may volunteer to chaperone on either of our field trips to Plymouth Plantation or the Boston Tea Party Museum. Parents may also volunteer to be a Secret Reader for our class. A sign up sheet for Secret Reader opportunities will be made available during PIN and periodically during the school year. Finally, our class will need at least 2 parents to volunteer as room parents to help support and organize various classroom events and activities throughout the school year.
To volunteer in our classroom or on field trips, you must have a valid CORI form on file with the Central Office. Please contact the Central Office early in the school year to make sure your CORI information is current.
